Healthy Chocolate Fudgsicle

Do you crave sweet treats? I know I do. I have always loved sweets and to tell you the truth, I still really enjoy them. I am particular about the type of sweets I like, but my favourite sweet treat happens to be ice cream!

If you know me, you know I am a big promoter of balance and mindful eating. I think it's important to enjoy the foods you love with the people you love, but balance doesn't mean enjoying ice cream every evening (sorry everyone). And because we can't be eating ice cream all day, every day, I am always playing around with frozen treats to help satisfy sweet cravings.

As a child the classic fudgsiscle was one of my favourites, so today I am sharing my healthy spin on it. Don't you love when healthy and chocolate are used in the same sentence? That is an automatic win in my books. My favourite thing about these fudgsicles is they only have 4 grams of sugar!

I hope you enjoy this healthy variation as much as I did.

Makes 8 fudgsicles (may make more or less depending on your mold size)

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup frozen avocado or 1 ripe avocado

  • 1 tbsp. cocoa powder

  • 2 tbsp. honey

  • 2 tbsp. peanut butter, almond butter, or sunflower seed butter (your choice)

  • 1-2 cups almond milk (or coconut milk, if you use the canned kind the texture will be much creamier)

Directions

Mix everything in a blender or food processor. Blend together well.

Pour into molds and freeze overnight or for 6-8 hours.

Enjoy!
